Robert Allen Nichols

Robert Nichols, 54, died peacefully in his sleep, on May 28, 2017, at his home in Ossining, NY. Robert was a devoted husband and father who approached life with great passion, determination and love. He graduated from Briarcliff High School in 1980.  He met his wife Catherine at Bucknell University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He was Senior Vice President of Estimating for Skanska USA. Robert was a hard worker who enjoyed sports, music, cooking, and doing jigsaw puzzles with his family. His greatest passion in life was spending time with his family. Robert is survived by his wife of 28 years, Catherine; sons Patrick and Andrew; and daughter Mary. He is also survived by his parents Myrtle and Allen Nichols; brother Gregory Nichols (Noelle); brother Douglas Nichols; and a wonderful extended family with multiple siblings-in-law, nieces, and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Arc of Westchester. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8 PM. Funeral Service, Briarcliff Congregational Church, Briarcliff Manor, NY on Saturday at 11:30 AM. Interment private.
