Robert Emmet Maher Sr

Robert Emmet Maher, Sr. 89, of West Harrison, N.Y. died on March 4, 2015. He was born on Feb.17, 1926 to the late John and Margaret Maher in Hastings, N.Y. He proudly served in the US Navy during WWII in the Pacific. Robert was retired Branch Manager and Vice President of NBW and Chase Bank in Harrison, N.Y. He was past commander of James Daley VFW Post in Hastings, N.Y. Robert was predeceased by his devoted wife, Bernadine (nee Patterson) Maher in 1993 and is survived by his loving children, Damon (Deborah) Maher, Robert (Lisa Eve) Maher, Jr., Christine Ellersick, Lisa Albi and Susan (Patrick) Maher. Also survived by his ten cherished grandchildren, brother in law, Robert Patterson and the McCarthy Cousins. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Friday, 5-9 PM. Funeral Mass, St.Anthony of Padua Church, West Harrison, N.Y. on Saturday, 10 AM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. Because of his love for all children, Robert volunteered his time with the March of Dimes. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the March of Dimes, 1275 Mamaroneck Ave, White Plains, N.Y. 10605 would be appreciated.
