Robert Karl

Robert Karl (52) of Belleview Fl., previously from West Harrison, NY passed away on March 16th, 2025. Robert was born on January 9,1973 in White Plains, NY to Ruth Sonneville and Matthew E Karl.

Rob attended West Lake High School in Thornwood, NY. He began his career as a truck driver operator and advanced his occupation working at Vincent's Towing Service in Mamaroneck, NY. He then moved onto the city of White Plains Garage and eventually continued and relocated to Marion County Roads Department in Florida.

Rob and Paula were long time friends before they married in 2008 in West Harrison, NY. They were residence and part of the community for many years until relocating to Florida.

Rob is survived by his spouse Paula and son Robert Jr. He is also survived by his mom (Ruth Sonneville), sister Kelly (Allen), brother David (Meghan), and was a favorite uncle (Unkie) to Brandon, JayAnn, AnnJay, Morgan, and Lunessa as well as many family members from Paula (Sgro). He was also predeceased by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Ralph and Marie Sgro.

There will be a visitation on Friday, March 28, 2025 from 4:00-8:00PM at Ballard-Durand Funeral & Cremation Services of Hawthorne located at 21 W Steven's Avenue Hawthorne NY 10532. Family and friends are welcome to gather at Ballard-Durand Funeral & Cremation Services of Hawthorne at 10:30AM on Saturday, March 29, 2025 prior to a graveside service. The graveside service will be taking place at 11:30AM at Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 575 Hillside Avenue White Plains NY 10603. Friends and family that would like to join the funeral procession to Mount Calvary Cemetery can meet in the parking lot of Ballard-Durand Funeral & Cremation Services of Hawthorne at 10:45AM.
