Robert W. Fink

Robert W. Fink 90, of Hawthorne, N.Y. died on March 13, 2012 at White Plains Hospital Center. He was born on Jan.7, 1922 to the late Homer and Ruth (nee Dopel) Fink in Stamford, Conn. Robert proudly served in the US Navy during WWII and was a member of the Hawthorne American Legion Post #112. He enjoyed making wine, gardening, woodworking and making home made movies and videos. He was a retired business operator with B. Wankel & Son Hardware in NYC. He was predeceased by his devoted wife Elizabeth Fink in 2010 and his brother Charles P. Fink. Robert is survived by his loving children; Robert W. (Therese) Fink, Jr. of Newark, Del., Bernie (Jane) Fink of Thornwood, N.Y. and Ruth (Joseph) Armisto of Carmel, N.Y. Also survived by his five cherished grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home, on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. where funeral services will be held at 8 PM. Interment Private.
