Rita (Weiss) Caporale

Rita Caporale, 78, of Hawthorne, NY died September 1, 2023 at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY with her daughter by her side. She was born on April 1, 1945 to Joseph and Hermine (Nee Rempe) Weiss. Rita worked at Reader's Digest for many years, followed by 26 years at Southern Westchester BOCES, retiring in 2013. She is predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Vincent Caporale in 2005, her daughter Kristina Caporale in 1971. Rita is survived by her daughter, Traci Belliveau and her husband, George of Yorktown Hgts and her son, Curt Caporale and his wife, Melissa of Orlando, FL. She loved her five grandchildren, Thomas, Victoria & Daniel Belliveau and Gavin & Gabriel Caporale. Rita always yearned for the daughter she lost and is finally reunited with Kristina, bringing Traci and Curt comfort.
