Rita Caldarola

Rita Caldarola of White Plains, NY, died August 14, 2012 in Mount Kisco, NY days before her 80th birthday. Rita was born August 28, 1932 in Ruvo di Puglia, Bari ,Italy daughter of the late Vincenzo and Giacomina Casino. Rita worked in food service at Schnurmacher Nursing Home in White Plains for many years. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Her most precious moments were spent caring for and loving her family. Her beloved husband, Michele Caldarola, sons Michael (Delilah) and Vincent Caldarola, and daughters Lita (Lou) Scarano, and Nancy (Lorenzo) Malandruccolo survive her. Rita is also survived by her 9 cherished grandchildren: Elise, Marissa, Julia, Joanna, Vincent, Carmela, Nicole (Gil), Luciano, and Frankie. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church on Friday August 17, 2012 at 10:00am. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Avenue at South Broadway, White Plains. Entombment will follow in the Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
