Richard C. Winston 95, of Thornwood, N.Y. died on April25,2017. He was born on Nov.1,1921 to the late Luis and Florence (nee Watson) Winston in Queens, N.Y. He proudly served in the US Army during WWII where he was a POW in Germany. Richard was owner-operator of See-Lect Industrial Equipment Co. in Hawthorne, N.Y. He was predeceased by his devoted wife, Dorothy Winston in 2001 and also predeceased by his beloved son, Gary Winston in 1993. Richard is survived by his loving daughters, Gail (James) Felice of Ridgefield, CT, Barbara (Stanley) Eckstein of Rye, N.Y. and Debra Van Duyne of Mamaroneck, N.Y. one sister, Margaret Cole of Hobe Sound, FL. Also survived by his seven cherished grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Richard was an avid Pilot and Golfer. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Monday, 4-8 PM. Where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, 10:30 AM. Interment, Greenwood Union Cemetery, Rye, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to WoundedWarriorProject.org would be appreciated.
