Richard J. Subklewe of West Harrison, NY (son of Mary Rose Lord and Erich Subklewe) passed away on Tuesday, January 3rd at the age of 74 after a long struggle with kidney disease. Richard was born in Manhattan, New York, where he lived until marrying his beloved wife of nearly 50 years Phyllis (Girondo) and moving to West Harrison in 1967. Richard is also survived by his two daughters, Jean (Paul) Viviano of Valhalla, and Toni Subklewe of Manhattan, New York, and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Mary Angel and Nick Pinciaro also of West Harrison, and his nephew Anthony Pinciaro (Maria, Elena, Vincent) of Nanuet, and the apples of his eye, his three grandsons: Paul (20), Kristoffer (16) and Jason (13). Richard was a devoted husband and grandfather and a beloved member of the community where he was lovingly referred to as "the judge of Silver Lake". He was also an active member of the White Plains Moose Lodge, a lover of history, trivia, and anything and everything baseball and family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
