Regina Miranda

Regina "Jeanne" Miranda of Valhalla, New York died peacefully on the morning of November 27, 2024, at the age of 88.

Jeanne was born on December 21,1935 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Anna and Alexander Rogers. Jeanne grew up in Queens with her younger sister, Anita, and worked as a Registered Nurse for many years prior to marrying her husband, Joey on December 26,1964.

Jeanne loved to sing and play the piano and was an active member of the church choirs at both Holy Innocents and Holy Name of Jesus. She was also a huge animal lover who enjoyed volunteering, baking, sewing, water aerobics, and spending time with her family. Jeanne will be remembered by all for her sweet, gentle, and loving nature. She was predeceased by her husband and her sister and will be dearly missed by her surviving children and grandchildren.

Family and friends will honor and remember Jeanne's life by gathering for a visitation on Wednesday, December 4th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 21 W. Stevens Ave in Hawthorne, NY. Her funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 5th at 10:00 am at Holy Innocents Church, 431 Bedford Rd in Pleasantville, NY. An entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery at 10 W. Stevens Ave in Hawthorne, NY.
