Raymond Glenn Hart 84, of Hawthorne, N.Y. died on April 5, 2012, after a short illness. He was born on Dec.4, 1927 to the late Raymond and Virginia (nee Glenn) Hart in NYC. He proudly served in the US Navy and then was a first lieutenant in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Raymond was a retired corporate pilot for thirty five years with Savin Business Machines and later with The Loews Corporation, until retiring in 1990, and after retirement he worked for The Apple Bank in Thornwood, N.Y. as a vault attendant. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus St.Dominic Council in Thornwood, N.Y. and was a devout parishioner of Holy Rosary Church in Hawthorne, N.Y. Raymond is survived by his devoted wife of fifty six years Betty Hart of Hawthorne, N.Y. and by his loving children Jackie (Eric) Kothe of Mahopac, N.Y. Patti (Steve) Diaz of Monroe, Conn. Jeanne (Jim) Manecky of Patterson, N.Y. and Raymond, Jr. (Julie) Hart of Westwood, Mass. Also survived by his seven cherished grandchildren. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Tuesday, 10 AM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to Blythedale Childrens Hospital in Valhalla, N.Y. would be appreciated.
