Raymond Ball, 90, of Valhalla, NY and Wallingford, VT, died peacefully in his Valhalla home on Aug. 9. He is survived by his three children, Deborah (Charles) Wein of Ridgefield, CT, Gail (Wes) Macleod-Ball of Silver Spring, MD, and Pete (Diane) Ball, of Carnelian Bay, CA, his sister Helen Bulling of Rochester, NY, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Petronella. During WWII, Ray served in Europe with the 12th Armored Division. He was the proprietor of Westchester Ski and Sport Shop of White Plains for 45 years and a member of the Ridgeview Congregational UCC Church. Ray deeply enjoyed a number of volunteer jobs. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 23rd at 2:00 PM in the Ridgeview Church, 12 Ridgeview Ave, White Plains. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wolf Conservation Center in South Salem, NY (nywolf.org) or to Ridgeview Church would be appreciated.
