Philip A. Zaneri, 87, of Mount Vernon, NY and formerly of The Bronx, NY, died Sept. 3, 2016. Born June 6, 1929 to the late Philip Zaneri and Henrietta (nee DeMaio); Father of Michele Galasso, Liza, Philip (deceased), Louis and Barbara; Grandfather of Gina, Anna, Richard, Taylor, Jacqueline and Michael. Zaneri was a Retired NYPD Patrolman (52nd Pct), U.S. Army Veteran, Member of The Order Sons of Italy (Blauvelt Lodge), Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, champion handball, bowling, pinochle and pool player. Visiting at the Hawthorne Funeral Home, 21 W. Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne, NY on Friday, September 9th, 4:00-8:00P. Funeral Mass at Church of the Holy Family, 83 Clove Road, New Rochelle, NY on Saturday , September 10th, 10:30AM. Internment at St. Lawrence O'Toole Cemetery, Turk Hill Road and Route 22, Brewster, NY to follow.
