Philip A Perlmutter

Philip Perlmutter, 88, of Woodbridge, CT, formerly of New Rochelle and Rye Brook, died on October 17, 2012. He is survived by is wife of 52 years, Josephine, and his two daughters Margie Benefico and her husband Vincent of Stamford, CT and Patricia Piascik and her husband Robert of Waterford, CT; his grandchildren, James, Julie, Nicole, Ben and Jeff. Philip graduated from Rutgers University and worked as an insurance salesman. A proud World War II Veteran, he became very active in veterans affairs, becoming Chairman of the Westchester County Veteran's Advisory Board and a chaplin in several American Legion posts. Visitation will be held at Ballard and Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Ave., White Plains, NY on Friday, Oct. 19th from 5 to 7pm. A funeral service will also be held at Ballard and Durand on Saturday, Oct. 20th, at 11am. Interment will be at White Plains Rural Cemetary. In lieu of flowers donations to the United Service Organization, uso.org would be appreciated.
