Philip Galtieri 84, of Armonk, N.Y. and formerly of Thornwood and Bronx, N.Y. died on Dec.12, 2010 at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow, N.Y. He was born on Dec. 5, 1926 in Brooklyn, N.Y. Philip proudly served in the US Army during WWII. He was a retired teacher with the NYC School System and past president of the Mt. Pleasant Seniors. He is survived by his devoted wife Anna Marie (nee Sabatello) Galtieri of Armonk, N.Y. one step-daughter, Ann-Marie Carducci and her husband Larry of Armonk, N.Y. one step son, Joseph Palladino, Phd. and his wife Marie of Evansville, Ind. and one daughter, Theresa Berry of New York. one brother Harry Galtieri and his wife Cathy of Morristown, N.J. and one sister, Angie D'Iasi of NC. Also survived by his six cherished grandchildren; Pamela (Gregory) McAvoy, Michael Carducci, Daniel (Valeria) Carducci, Valerie Carducci, Karin (Ben) Brown and Sharin (Jim) Green and six great grandchildren. Predeceased by one brother. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Tuesday 7-9 PM and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Thursday 10 AM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to Parkinsons Disease Foundation, Inc. 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509 N.Y., N.Y. 10018 would be appreciated.
