Peter Zambito

Peter Zambito 84, of Thornwood, N.Y. died on Sept. 13, 2021 at Calvary Hospital in Bronx, N.Y. He was born on July 18, 1937 to the late Louis and Louise (nee Argento) Zambito in NYC. He worked for many years for the Town of Mount Pleasant in the Recreation Department in various capacities including delivering food to the seniors with the meals on wheels program. Peter was predeceased by his devoted wife, Antionette (nee Gelormini) Zambito in 2012 and is survived by his loving daughters, Janice (Ernie) Calcagni of Thornwood, N.Y. and Louise (Joel) LaFleur of Putnam Valley, N.Y. one sister, Josephine Melone of Yorktown Hgts., N.Y. and also survived by his four cherished grandchildren, Anthony (Michelle) Calcagni, Nicholas Calcagni, Andre LaFleur and Danielle LaFleur. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Friday, Sept. 17, 2021 from 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Saturday, 10 AM. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.
