Peter J. Tripoli

Peter J. Tripoli, 90, passed away peacefully on May 21st after a breif illness, surrounded by loved ones. Peter was born in Yonkers, NY; raised his family in Brewster, NY; and later lived in Danbury, CT and Guilford, CT. He is survived by his children: Ann Sisco of Raleigh NC; Peter Tripoli (Maria Leverson) of Chandler AZ; Francis Tripoli (Marilyn Pitts) of West Harrison NY and Kenneth Tripoli (Kerry) of Schenectady NY; 5 grandchildren and sister Rosemary Sullivan. Also surviving are his former wife Margaret Tripoli and his longtime companion Suzanne Marnane. He was preceded in death by his parents Salvatore Tripoli and Margaret (Gardella) Tripoli and brother Adolph Tripoli.

Peter was an avid sailor through most of his adult life, spending weeks guiding his sailboat up & down the East Coast. He shared his love of sailing by serving as an instructor with The Power Squadron in Connecticut. Mr. Tripoli was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran, later becoming very active within the VFW.

A small family gathering will precede his cremation.
