Peter Pelosi 83, of Hawthorne, N.Y. passed away unexpectedly on July 12, 2010. He was born on Nov. 19, 1926 to the late Luigi and Pasqualina Pelosi in Cerreto Sannita, Italy. He settled to the United States in 1937. He was the husband of the late Jennie Pelosi (nee Vento) who passed away in 2007. Pete proudly served in the US Merchant Marines and US Army during WWII. He was employed for over thirty five years as an operating engineer for Labriola Construction and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 137 in Mt.Kisco, N.Y. He is survived by his loving children; Peter (Janet) Pelosi of Washougal, WA, Linda (Ronald) Dunn of Albany, N.Y. and Patricia (Richard) Alexander of Seminole, Fla., one brother Andrew (Lorraine) Pelosi of Reddington Beach, FL., and one sister Florence (Tom ) Johnson of Maorrow, OH., He also leaves behind his seven cherished grandchildren Jack, Sarah, Michael, Anne, Brandon, Kevin and Bryan and a great granddaughter Ori. He was an avid golfer and a Yankee fan. He worked hard all his life providing for his family so that they could have a good life. Pete was an inventor, artist and all around Mr. Fix-it. He was a kind and good man and will be dearly missed. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Thursday 4-8 PM where funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM. Interment Private.
