Peter D. Martorano

Peter Daniel Martorano, 66 of Yonkers, N.Y. and formerly of Somers, N.Y. died unexpectedly on August 17,2017 from pulmonary-cardio complications.

Born in North Tarrytown, N.Y. on August 11,1951, son of James and Mildred (Dottie) Martorano, Peter was a graduate of Somers High School and received his B.A. degree from Pace University in Pleasantville. His passion was the food industry and researching. He spent 44 years working in the Specialty Food Industry for several companies, including Schafer Clark & Company, R.R. Cooper Company/Grosvenor Marketing, and Jacquet USA,; and owned his own consulting firm; Specialty Marketing and Management International. Recently he was working with Media Etc. Peter had fond memories of his days playing trumpet with the drum corps, and the guitar with the band MIDCLASS.

Peter is survived by his brother Jaime Martorano and his brother's children. He leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his longtime companion and friend Nancy Traynelis. We will miss you Peter!! Rest in peace.
