Peter Thomas Christ

Peter Thomas Christ passed away peacefully on June 27, 2017. He was born in New York City on March 13, 1936. He was the son of Alice Camilla Gallagher and John Francis Christ who both predeceased him. He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla where he served as an altar boy. He attended Lower Marion High School in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Valhalla High School, Westchester Community College and Iona College. He served in the United States Air Force (1955- 1959) and was stationed at Andrews Air Force base in Suitland, Maryland, and served as an honor guard for president Dwight D. Eisenhower. He was the Controller for Jack Daniels Porsche Audi in Fairlawn, New Jersey for 20 years and retired in 1997. He was an avid fan and memorabilia collector of the San Francisco (New York) Giants, beautiful photographer, a passionate golfer and a member of Knollwood County Club. He loved Bermuda in June. Peter married Judith Angela Risher on June 23, 1962. In addition to his wife, Peter is survived by his daughter Nancy (Gary) Purpura, his grandsons Taylor, Joseph and Grant Thomas Purpura. He was predeceased by his sister Joan (Edward) Monk and son James Thomas. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to The Alzheimers Association, www.alz.org
