Peter Gerard Argueso

Peter Gerard Argueso passed away on October 27, 2014 in Fort Myers, Florida at the age of 83. He was born on January 9, 1931 in New York City to Luis Manuel and Dorothy (Benziger) Argueso. Peter attended Canterbury School in New Milford, CT, then went on to receive a Bachelor's Degree in Economics at Villanova University. He was married on July 15, 1961 to Carol Jean Krumenaux at the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows in White Plains, NY. Peter served in the U.S. Navy Reserve, retiring in 1961 as Lieutenant. He worked in the fourth generation family business at M. Argueso & Company, Inc. in Mamaroneck, NY. He retired after more than forty years, serving most recently as President and Chairman of the Board of Directors. Peter enjoyed recreational gold and was a member of the Sanibel-Captiva Sail & Power Squadron in Florida. He is predeceased by his parents, his brother, Luis M. Argueso, Jr., and his sister, Ann A. Wolff. Peter is survived by his wife Carol, as well as his five children; Michael Argueso, Susan Barnes, Cheryl Chiappinelli, David Argueso, and Nancy Cohen; and eleven grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 2nd at 1 pm at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
