Peckhay Maguire

Peckhay Maguire 86 of Hartsdale, N.Y. died peacefully on March 30, 2020 of natural causes at White Plains Hospital. She was born on the beautiful island of Singapore July 1, 1933. She is survived by her sisters Lucy Tan and Esalie Chan her brothers We Aik Yeo and Wee Lee Yeo and their many children all of Singapore her loving son Richard Maguire of Hawthorne, N.Y. and his wife Martina and their children Emma and Jake Maguire she was predeceased by her brother’s Wee Lum Yeo and Wee Pak Yeo. She was a nurse in the operating room at Montefiore Medical in Bronx, N.Y. for a number of years as well as in England and New Zealand. After her retirement she fulfilled a life long dream of attaining her college degree at 70 years old attending Purchase College and fulfilled that dream graduating with a Bachelors Degree in liberal arts. She was a kind, loving, caring Mother and Grandmother and would light up the room with her smile and quirky sense of humor. Due to the current health crisis there will be no visitation or funeral mass.  There will be a small private funeral. Burial will take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery Hawthorne, N.Y.  Due to the current health crisis there will be no visitation or funeral mass.  The family will arrange a memorial service at a future date.
