Paul A. Frey

Paul A. Frey 90, of Valhalla, N.Y. died on Nov.18, 2017. He was born on June 27, 1927 to the late William A. and Josephine E. (nee Dunn) Frey in Bronx, N.Y. He was raised in Larchmont, N.Y. and proudly served in the US Army during WWII. Paul was a Past Commander of the American Legion Post 1038 in Valhalla, N.Y. He graduated from Iona College in 1951 and became a manager for F.W. Woolworth Co. In 1957 he managed Black, Starr and Frost in White Plains. He retired from the Gorham Silver Co. in 1989. During his retirement he was very active at The Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla. Paul was an avid Historic Ship Modler, two of his models are on display in the Commisioner’s house in the Bermuda Maritime Museum.  Paul Married Barbara Smart of Larchmont in 1951, who passed away in 1955. He married Karen Jackson of Larchmont in 1958. She predeceased Paul in 1985. Paul was the father of seven children; Paula Jo (Marc) Frey of Ceret, France, Lorelei (Gary) Hewitt of Newtown, CT, Fredrika (Fritzi) (Paul) McClintock of Valhalla, N.Y., Brenda (Tom) Closter of Danbury, CT., William N. (Suzanne) Frey of Eugene, OR., Matthew A. (Jacqueline) Frey of New Rochelle, N.Y. and Elizabeth (Suzi) DeGraw of Middletown, N.Y. also survived by his fifteen cherished grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and predeceased by one grandchild. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Tuesday, 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, N.Y. on Wednesday, 10 AM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.  In lieu of flowers donations to Holy Name of Jesus Church, 2 Bway, Valhalla, N.Y. 10595 would be appreciated.
