Patricia H Winkelman

Patricia H. Winkelman peacefully passed away April 24, 2013. She was 100 years old. Patricia was a longtime resident of Elmsford and a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church; she also was a retired employee of General Motors Corp. in North Tarrytown. She was born in Tarrytown, NY to Harry H. and Delia (nee Griffin) Herguth. On July 28th, 1940 at the Church of Transfiguration in Tarrytown, Patricia married John H. Winkelman Sr. Survived by her sister Veronica Campbell; sister-in-law Lenore Herguth, her sons John Jr. (Sandi); Bruce (Elizabeth) and daughter Paula; she is also survived by 5 grandchildren; John (Andrea); Kurt (Cynthia);Mikey (Lora); Max and Michelle; 3 great-grandchildren; Reese, Chase and Butcher; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John, daughter-in-law Dorothy (John); 4 brothers and 2 sisters, sister-in-law, Katherine (Henry) and nephew Edward as well as grandniece Kathy Wheeler. The family will receive friends at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 72 E. Main St, Elmsford, NY on Saturday April 27, from 9am- 11:30 am. The Funeral Ceremony will begin at 11:30 am at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kensico Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Elmsford on May 11th, 2013 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Patricia's name may be made to the Rosary Hill Home, 600 Linda Avenue, Hawthorne, NY 10532.
