Patricia Hurley

Patricia Hurley of White Plains, born in Brooklyn, NY August 17, 1924 died on August 17, 2012 at the age of 88. She was the devoted mother of three sons, Mark, Robert, and Michael and after the untimely death of her husband Frank in 1973, raised her boys. Pat, as she was known, was a secretary in Manhattan and a stay-at-home mother before she was thrust into running her husband's gas station at the height of the oil crisis in the early seventies. She overcame many challenges in business and life and did so with grace and resilience. Pat is also survived by her six grandchildren Christopher, Francis, Stephen, Morgan, Kathryn, and Emma and her remarkable health aide/companion of seven years Deita. Visitation will be 2-4pm and 7-9pm Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Avenue at South Broadway, White Plains, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM at St. John the Evangelist, White Plains on Friday, October 19, 2012. Interment following, Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
