Olga Gallo

Olga L. Gallo passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025 at the age of 93. She was born on March 31, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York to John and Julia (Pavolka) Lachky.

On February 4, 1951, Olga married her sweetheart, Joseph M. Gallo. Together they shared 51 years of marriage before his passing in 2002. They made their home in the Norwood section of the Bronx where they raised their three children and co-owned Joe and Olga's Candy Store on Hull Avenue, Bronx.

After retirement, Olga lived in Kings Point, Del Ray Beach, FL where she made wonderful memories with her sister in law, Josephine (Jessie) Lachky. Olga later returned to Mt. Kisco, NY with her daughter Carol where she spent her final years surrounded by family.

Olga was predeceased by her husband Joseph M. Gallo, her brothers John Lachky, Frank Lachky and her sister Anne Lachky Ezoch. She is survived by her sons Joseph T. and Richard (Darcie Heineman) and daughter Carol A. Settino. Olga was a devoted grandmother to Christina Gault (Andy), Steven Gallo (Stephanie Reimer), Laura Cangiano (Vincent), John Settino (Ashley Watkins), Kaitlin Gallo (Kyle Ferrara) and Kimberly Lovett (Daniel). Olga will be forever remembered by her 16 great grandchildren and her cherished nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked donations be made in Olga's name to Alzheimer's Foundation.
