Norman P. Delorier, 93, of Valhalla, died Feburary 10, 2004, at Hebrew Hospital Home of Westchester in Valhalla. He was born at Claremont, New Hampshire, September 18, 1911. He worked at the Union Leader Newspaper in Manchester, New Hampshire as a typesetter. He played trumpet in Buster Keating's Dance Band in the 1930's. He married Madelyn (Mitzi) Struss in White Plains, New York in 1935. He became a jeweler and gemologist at Struss Jewlers in White Plains, and later co-owner with Mark Graham of Bramley's Jewelers in White Plains. He served as president of the White Pains Exchange Club 1956-58. He was a communicant at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla.
He leaves his wife of 69 years and two sons: Dennis of Emerald Isle, North Carolina, and David Delorier of Hopewell Junction, New York. In addition he leaves six grandchildren Deborah Hammett of Oak Bluffs, MA, Lt. Col. Peter Delorier of Parris Island, SC.
