Norma Buonassisi

Norma Buonassisi 85, a longtime resident of Valhalla, N.Y. died on July 26, 2016. She was born on June 20, 1931 to the late Fred and Anne Schmehl in Charlotte, NC. Norma was a lifetime member of the Valhalla Fire Co. #1 Ladies Auixliary. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Joseph Buonassisi in 1996. Norma is survived by her loving daughters, Martha (Peter) Datino of Valhalla, N.Y., JoAnne (Richard) Lanza of Hawthorne, N.Y., Susan (Thomas) McCarthy of Valhalla, N.Y. and Norie (Charles) Greco of Bristol, CT. one sister, Anne (James) Warmington of Ocala, Fla. and one brother, Fred (Leslie) Schmehl of Sarasota, Fla. also survived by her nine cherished grandchildren, Jennifer (Edward) Lynch, Peter (Lynn) Datino, Kristy (Dan) MacSweeney, Richie (Jennifer) Lanza, Barbara (John) Coppola, Stacy (Pasquale) Palumbo, Tommy ( Kelly) McCarthy, Dean (Caitlyn) Greco and Nicole Greco. and sixteen great grandchildren. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Thursday, 3-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, N.Y. on Friday, 11:30 AM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to either Holy Name of Jesus Church, 2 Bway, Valhalla, N.Y. or Valhalla United Methodist Church, 200 Columbus Ave. Valhalla, N.Y. would be appreciated.
