Nicole (Scova) Geoghegan

Nicole Scova Geoghegan 52, of Pleasantville and formerly of Hawthorne, N.Y. died suddenly on August 7, 2021. She was the daughter of Nicholas Biddle Scova (deceased) and Patricia Brennan Scova and born on March 21, 1969 in North Tarrytown, N.Y. After graduating from Westlake High School, she graduated from Berkeley College with a degree in business. Her interest in politics led her to a position as an Administrative Assistant for Senator Nick Spano and she continued her career as a congressional aide for Congresswomen Sue Kelly and currently she was an election coordinator for the Westchester County Board of Elections and served on the Selective Service Committee for 25 years. She was recording secretary to the Sleepy Hollow St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee also a member of the Mount Pleasant Italian American Association in Thornwood, N.Y. Nicole is survived by her husband, Mel, her mother, Patricia Brennan Scova, her siblings, James, Beatrice, Michael (Margareth) and nieces and nephews Lindsay (Mike) DeVito, Tyler Scova, Dr. Allison Scova and Mickey Scova and great nephews, Elliot and Owen DeVito. Nicole’s infectious laugh, smile and incredible generosity will be sorely missed by the multitude of friends and people that she touched. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Wednesday, 3-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Thursday, 10 AM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to Blythdale Children’s Hospital, Valhalla, N.Y. would be appreciated.
