Nicola Morano

Nicola Morano, born on December 30, 1918, passed away on May 7th at 94 years of age, surrounded by his family at Calvary Hospital. He was born in Guardia Lombardi, P. Avellino, Italy to Carmela (Sgobbo) and Giovanni. Beloved husband of Rosa for 64 years, father to John and Carmela (John) and Predeceased by his sister in Argentina, Teresa Portanova. Loving Uncle to many nieces and nephews. He served in the Italian Army for 7 years and migrated to the United States in December 1953. Before retiring in 1980, he worked for Lawrence Labriola Landscaping and Westchester Garden Center in Armonk and was a member of the International Laborers Union of No. America Local 60 since 1955. Throughout his life, he was a avid gardener tending to his flowers, fruit trees, grape vines and vegetable garden and was there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed his help.
