Nicholas A. Grippi Sr. 85, of Dolphin, Va. and formerly of Greenburgh, N.Y. Died on August 29, 2007. He was born on Sept.15, 1921 to Salvatore and Ermelinda Grippi in BrQoklyn, N.Y. He proudly served in the US Army during WW11 as 1st Sgt. in the' 65th Signal Battalion and in the 411th Quarter Master in the Korean, Berlin and Cuban Crisis. Nicholas was self employed in the TV and Air Conditioning repair business in the Westchester County area. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret (nee Cataudella) Grippi in 2006, and 1 deceased brother Mario Grippi. He is survived by 3 sons Nicholas A. Grippi of Wayne, NJ. Mario A. Grippi and his wife Cathy of Wilton, Conn. and Salvatore G. Grippi of Sunrise, Fla. 1 daughter Ermelinda R. Grippi of Hawthorne, N.Y. 2 brothers Vincent of Carmel, N.Y. and Frederick of Pa. and 1 sister Caroline Viola of Yonkers, N.Y. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 1 Great Grandson. Reposing Hawthorne Funeral Home on Thursday and Friday 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Saturday 10 AM. Entombment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donatios to American Cancer Society would be apprecieted.
