Nereida DeJesus

Nereida DeJesus, age 87 of White Plains, NY, passed away peacefully on March 4th, 2025 at Calvary Hospital in Bronx, NY surrounded by close family. Nereida was born in Isabel, Puerto Rico to Juan Lopez and Justiniana Crespo on June 10th, 1937. Nereida was the loving and devoted wife to the late Felix De Jesus and was the proud mother of four children; Felix Jr., Xavier, Dennis and Marilyn, She was also a doting grandmother to her grandchildren Dennis Jr. Xavier Jr, Alex, Mark, Lexi, Gabriela, Francisco, Max, Paisley, Mia and Neahra. She was able to meet and share her immense capacity to love with her great grandchildren Leah Azul and Sky. Nereida was also a great sister to her many siblings.

Nereida was a proud homemaker supporting her husband's many careers as well as the successful schooling and careers of her children. She was a tremendous cook who was most happy feeding her family and friends. Some of the more memorable feasts were holiday meals where family gathered to enjoy her warm embrace and exquisite food. She was incredibly generous, loving and caring to her whole family and was adored by everyone she came into contact with. She was a woman of great faith praying constantly for her family and there was nothing she would not do to help those in need. She will be greatly missed, but her spirit will always be with those she touched so deeply.
