Neil Whittle

Neil Whittle 100, of Hawthorne, N.Y. died on Sept.5, 2020. He was born on April 24, 1920 to the late Thomas Martin and Nora Gladys (nee O’Brien) Whittle in Chatham Kent, England. He proudly served in the British Navy during WWII. Neil was a devout catholic and very loyal to Holy Rosary Church in Hawthorne, N.Y. He was a retired Real Estate Appraiser with Joseph J. Blake & Assoc. in Westbury, N.Y. He was predeceased by his devoted wife, Veronica (nee McAdam) Whittle in 2014 and also predeceased by his sister, Nora Whittle and brothers, John and Thomas Whittle. Neil is survived by his loving daughters, Carol Marie Figueroa of Newington, CT, Wendy A. (life partner, Charles Munson) Whittle of Hawthorne, N.Y. and Barbara J. (Steve) Blank of Davis, IL. One sister, Clare (Laurence) McMahon of Memsie, Scottland.  Also survived by his many cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. His love of family and faith filled his free time.
