Nancy Carol Neivert, a devoted social worker, mother, and artist passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025, in Portland Oregon, at the age of 78. Born on September 7, 1946, Nancy led a life full of compassion, creativity, and dedication to those around her.
Nancy earned her Master's in Social Work from Fordham University, following an undergraduate degree from Manhattanville College. Her career was marked by her profound commitment to helping others. She worked for Cabrini Sisters Home and later at A-Home in Mount Kisco, where her social work skills provided support and care to those in need.
A Talented artist, Nancy found joy in painting, drawing, and beading. Her creative spirit extended to her love of baking, a passion that brought delight to all who were fortunate enough to share in her treats. A true lover of life's simple pleasures, she cherished time spent in cafe's, listening to music, and traveling to new places.
Nancy's deep love for dogs was a defining part of her character, as was her nurturing role as a mother. She is survived by her son, Matteo Neivert, and daughter, Jeanne Brooks, sisters Barbara Posternak and Joan Chess, along with many other family members and friends who will remember her warmth, kindness, and artistic soul.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and service to others. Her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her. Nancy will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
