Michael John Luongo III, formerly of White Plains, NY, Scranton, Pennsylvania and Elmira, NY passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023. He was 87 years old.
He was born in 1936 to Michael Luongo, Jr and Mary Catherine Raneri Luongo in White Plains, NY.

He graduated from Scranton Technical High School in 1954 and moved back to White Plains, New York after graduation.
He entered the Air Force with brother William Luongo and Richard DeMayo in 1957. He was stationed in Thule, Greenland working in communications. This is the same place his uncle Samuel Raneri of White Plains, NY was stationed in WWII.
After his honorable service and discharge from the Air Force he moved back to Scranton and worked for many years at Tobyhanna Army Depot in Tobyhanna, PA with his uncle Louis Borgia and his cousin Louis Borgia, Jr.
He is survived by his sister Mary Luongo, brother William Luongo, brother Joseph Luongo, brother Daniel Luongo and numerous nieces and nephews from New York to California and various cousins from New York to Washington! Mike was a man of few words but when he spoke his words were words of wisdom. Rest in Peace Mike.
