Michael F. Arkontaky

Michael Francis Arkontaky, 66, of Yonkers, NY died on April 19, 2020 from complications of COVID19.  Michael was born on November 9, 1953, in Mt. Vernon NY.  Michael attended Salesian High School, Fordham University and attended medical school at the University of Perugia and spent more than 30 years in Italy where he met his beloved wife Becky.  He is predeceased by his wife, Becky and his parents, Peter and Francine Arkontaky.He is survived by his brothers, John (Margaret) and Peter (Adrienne) Arkontaky, his sister Lori Ryan, his nieces and nephews, Dawn (Dane), John (Brandi), Dana, Justine (Dillon), Jordan, Jenna, Nikki, Roxanne, Santino, and his great-nieces and nephews, Lucca, Nicholas, Julia, and Lilly.  They will miss their funny, adventurous, and intelligent Uncle Mike tremendously.  His family takes solace in the fact that he will join his father, his mother who he loved and cared for and his wife who was devoted to Michael until her death.  A private burial will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hastings on Hudson.  A memorial will be scheduled at a later time due to the current COVID outbreak.
