Merle Davis

Merle Edmund Davis, loved by all, died Sunday June 25, 2017 in White Plains, New York, from complications from pneumonia. He was 85.
He was born on January 15, 1932, in Portland, Oregon. His father, Erwin Isaac Davis, emigrated from Russia. His mother was Sarah Idella Gurian.
Merle is survived by his brother Robbie Davis, his first wife, Dorothy Wasserman, mother of the three children & their spouses; Miriam & Keith Ludwig, Benjamin Davis & Marina Epstein and Elizabeth & Michael Brady and three grand-children Stacy Ludwig, Matthew Brady and Sean Brady.
He attended the University of Oregon from 1949-1953 serving in the ROTC. Then he joined the Army serving as an officer from 1953-1955. He then graduated from the University of Oregon law school from 1955 - 1958.
He was an inactive member of the Oregon State Bar, The State Bar of California and the New York State Bar Association. He passed each of the bar exams on the first attempt.
