Mathilda (Loebel) Maslow Goldenberg Abler of White Plains, NY, passed away peacefully at 101 on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at White Plains Hospital. Mattie was born in Brooklyn on March 7, 1920, the beloved daughter of Arthur and Harriett (Herrmann) Loebel. Mattie and her husband, the late Ralph Maslow, were the parents of Arthur, James (Jake) and Elizabeth (Lisa) Maslow. She lost Ralph in 1976 and Arthur in 2000. Mattie married the late Ely Goldenberg in 1983 and the late Mort Abler in 2002. Mattie is survived by loving grandchildren: Rachel Asimaz and her husband, Mike of Newark, DE, Aaron Maslow and his wife, Vera of Endwell, NY, and Alexander Maslow of Boston, MA. She is also survived by two adorable great granddaughters, Kaylee & Kyra Asimaz of Newark, DE.

Mattie attended Cooper Union in NYC (Fine Arts degree), and her artistry was on view in her many lovely paintings and drawings, and in her eye for color coordination even in her most casual dress. This was ever evident to her many friends and family until the day of her passing. Mattie was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother - she loved nothing more than to be surrounded by family and close friends, of which she had many who were dear to her heart!

Mattie grew up in Brooklyn and spent her adult life in Hartsdale and Scarsdale. For the past 6 years she has lived at The Bristal at White Plains , where the staff took loving care of her. A strong woman until the end of her life, Mattie was special. She loved and was loved by so many and now she rests in peace.
