Mary Ann Theresa Warren 81, of Croton on Hudson, N.Y. went to God on 2/15/2021, peacefully, and with the arms of her loving and proud family wrapped firmly around her. Mary Ann started her exceptional life in New Jersey on November 12, 1939, and was big sister to her 3 siblings. Mary Ann soon found herself a single parent with 4 children in tow and, with a lot of solid family support, managed to make it through some lean years. Starting in 1969, Mary Ann worked as executive staff at IBM for 29+ years. Mary Ann greatly enjoyed her time in her Adirondack mountain cabin that she and husband, Alfred J Warren, built from the ground up in the 80's.Later in life, Mary Ann became an accomplished Jeweler, working for a small craft shop in Croton-on-Hudson, and later establishing her own business calling herself The Jewelry Dr.One of Mary Ann's strongest traits is her generosity; early in her married life she had minimal resources, yet remained very giving. Those who have little, but somehow find a way to be very generous, are remarkable. That was MaryAnn. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents James J. and Margaret Hogan and her beloved daughter Ann Marie Schwarz.
Mary Ann is survived by her siblings James J. Hogan Jr.(Kathy), Margaret Bradley, Kathleen Murphy(Tom); children Robert Schwarz(Jane), Michael Schwarz(Lisa), John Schwarz, Tina Entwistle(Mark), Michael Warren; grandchildren Jessica Lee Schwarz, Michael Schwarz Jr. Nicole Luck(Travis), Timothy Entwistle, Caroline Entwistle, Samantha Warren, Cristina Fox MD (Jon), Heather Fox; great grandchildren, Angelina Schwarz, Gabriel Schwarz and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In Lieu of Flowers, please consider a donation to Danbury Regional Hospice in Danbury Connecticut.
Mary Ann had chosen to be cremated and there are currently no plans for a viewing or ceremony in the near future. Please bear with us as we navigate through pandemic restrictions and winter weather in the northeast US. We will be scheduling a Celebration of Mary Ann's Life and Legacy and will notify family and friends at the appropriate time.
