Mary E Wakeford

Mary (Betsy) Wakeford, 80, died November 26 peacefully after a brief illness at White Plains Hospital Center. She was born August 20, 1926 in Madison, NJ, the daughter of the late James and Laura Cuff.

Betsy is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years William Wakeford. She was the devoted mother to her sons Geoffrey and his wife Kathy of Danbury, CT and their children Meghan and Kara, and her son Glen and his wife Ellen of Ossining, N.Y. and their children Sasha and Izabella

A graduate of Ohio University in 1949, she was married in 1956 and moved to the West Harrison area in 1958. She was actively involved in St Stephen's Episcopal Church, Armonk for over 35 years and was a former president of the Green Acres Garden Club in Armonk. Among her life long passions were gardening, bridge, knitting, and caring for her numerous pets.
