Mary Tangredi

Mary Tangredi of White Plains, NY, died October 21, 2014. She was 86 years old. Mary was born November 4, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Francesco and Lena Falzoni.

She married Anthony J. Tangredi on September 10, 1950 at St. Theresa’s Church in the Bronx. She worked as a seamstress and as a bookkeeper for her husband at Ton-Dan Consultants also in the Bronx until her retirement. Mary was a proud breast cancer survivor for over 20 years.

Surviving are her two children John Tangredi of Hartsdale, NY and Mary Ann DeToma and her partner Carmine DiPasquale of White Plains, NY. A grandson, Robert DeToma also survives her.

Mary was predeceased by her husband in August of 1988.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Elmsford, Friday at 11:00am. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.

Friends will be received at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 72 East Main Street, Elmsford, NY Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
