Mary Elizabeth (Shields) Donovan

Mary Elizabeth Donovan 98, of Bronx, N.Y. and most recently of Salem, N.Y. died on August 24, 2018. She was born on February 24, 1920 to the late James and Mary (nee McGrath) Shields in N.Y., N.Y. Mary was predeceased by her first husband, Vincent Armstrong in 1955 and by her second husband, James Donovan in 1978 and her beloved son, Bill Donovan in 2009. She is survived by her loving children, Robert (Dianne) Armstrong of East Meadow, N.Y., James Donovan of Salem, N.Y., Kathy Ruppel of Riverdale, N.J. and Patricia (Eugene) Rohr of Coram, N.Y. also survived by her ten cherished grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Wednesday, 9:00 AM-10:45 AM. Funeral Mass, Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.  at 11 AM. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers donations to any ASPCA would be appreciated.
