Mary T Catalano

Maria (Mary) Catalano, 95, of White Plains passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2014 at the Hebrew Hospital Home in Valhalla. Formally residing at 41 Barker Ave. in White Plains. Mary was born on March 11, 1919 in White Plains, NY, the daughter of the late Dominic Catalano and Josephine Marinelli. Her five sisters; Angelina Johnson of Arkville, NY, Josephine Ermola of Manchester, NJ, Jennie Catalano of Milford, CT, Antonette Vizzini of Yonkers and Anna Maloney of White Plains, NY survive her. Mary is also survived by many adoring nieces, nephews and cousins who considered her the "mother" of their families. She was preceded in death by three brothers Carmello Mara, Anthony Catalano, Dominic Catalano and one sister Rose Monticello. Ms. Catalano was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in White Plains. She had worked for the New York Telephone Company for most of her life retiring over 35 years ago. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in White Plains. Prayers of committal will follow at Ferncliff Crematory. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 92 S. Lexington Avenue, White Plains, NY 10606.
