Mary L. Brady 78, of Thornwood, NY died on Dec. 9, 2013 at her residence. She was born on Feb. 23, 1935 to the late Otto and Mary (nee Ryan) Scholl in the Bronx, NY. She was a 30 year volunteer at Rosary Hill Home in Hawthorne, N.Y. Mary is predeceased by her first husband Charles Benedix in 1975 and her second husband Edward Brady in 2011. Mary is also predeceased by her daughter Mary Benedix in 1975 and is survived by her loving daughter Susan (Ronald) Chan of Elizaville, NY, her son Charles Benedix (Ken Wegniak) of Elizaville NY, her sister Arlene (Charles) Reid of Clinton CT, Georgiana (Vincent) LaPaglia of Arizona. She is also survived by her step sons Kenneth (Debra) Brady of Ghent, NY, Edward (Shannon) Brady Jr. of Patterson, NY, Kevin (Camille) Brady of Norwalk CT and step daughter Marilyn Medini of Florida, her cherished grandchildren Jessica Mary Chan, James Arthur Chan and Kimberly Cecile Chan, 10 Step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Wednesday, (today) 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne NY on Thursday 10 AM. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx NY.
