Martin Kantor, formerly of Mamaroneck, died May 28 at the age of 87. He is survived by his partner Joann H Brown whom he lived with in White Plains, and two sons from his marriage to Eileen Kantor (1930-2006), Kenneth of Berkeley, California and Eric of Ossining, NY, and Eric’s three children. Retired from a successful career in organic and pharmaceutical chemistry, Marty was well known and well liked throughout Westchester County for his work as a district leader in the Democratic Party, as a docent at the Neuberger Museum, and through his membership in The Old Guard men's organization, where he served as the resident photographer. Marty was a generous and intelligent soul, and will be missed by many. Funeral services are to be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 1st at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Ave, White Plains. In lieu of flowers, donations are to be made to The American Cancer Society.
