Martha Jane Lent

Martha Jane (Blight) Lent of Purchase, NY, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023. She was born on January 29, 1921 to Arthur H. and Julia R. Blight of Vero Beach, FL, formerly of White Plains.
She was pre-deceased by her husband of 63 years, Bruce Lent, and her five siblings; Mary Louise Kepner, A. Howard Blight, Jr., Elizabeth Michaels, Julia Wiedeman and Barbara Beringer. She is survived by her children, Barbara Anne, Stephen Brewster, Gregory Brewster and beloved daughter-in-law, Maryellen Lent.
She was a graduate of the White Plains School System, Skidmore College and the Washington Secretarial School. She was employed by the Coty Salon, The National Broadcasting Company and Merrill Lynch.
She was a member of the Westchester Hills Golf Club, Scarsdale Golf Club and the American Yacht Club.
Among her many volunteer activities; she was a member of the White Plains Hospital Auxiliary where she worked at the Information Desk for over 20 years, a member of the White Plains Women's Club, and a devoted member of the Church In The Highlands where she served as a Deacon, a Trustee, a member of the Church League, and in many other capacities.
She loved golfing, boating, playing bridge and gardening.
