Marjorie A. Avella

Marjorie A. Avella 79, of Thornwood, N.Y. died on Oct.8, 2020. She was born on Sept.2, 1941 to the late Wilfred and Margaret (nee Leddy) Brodeur in Fall River, Mass. She was a Devoted Wife, Loving Mother and Grandmother and Valued Friend to many. Marjorie was predeceased by her devoted husband, Alexander Avella in 2012 and brother, Norman Brodeur and sister, Marilou Martell. She is survived by her loving sons, Alexander Avella III of Colombia, SA, Jeffrey (Natalie) Avella of Balston Lake, N.Y. and Douglas (Jennifer) Avella of Thornwood, N.Y. also survived by her six cherished grandchildren, Justin, Ashley, Mia, Sylvie, Alexandra, Victoria and her loving nephew, Fred Stock of Norwalk, CT and his children, Marshall and Sally and niece, Donna Martino. A special Thank You for the wonderful care given to Marjorie, at the Oncology Department at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville, N.Y. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Wednesday, 10 AM-12 Noon, Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Wednesday, 12:30 PM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Memphis, TN, would be appreciated.
