Mario Orlando Chavez 93, of Port Chester, N.Y. died on Jan.25,2017 at his residence. He was born on April 5, 1923 to the late Jose and Elena Guerra in Havana, Cuba. He retired from Life Savers, Inc. in Port Chester, N.Y. Mario is survived by his devoted wife, Aurelia Coque Chavez of Port Chester, N.Y. and by his loving children, Carmen (Enrique) Chavez-Ghimenti of Clifton, VA, Maura (Michael) Caldarola of White Plains, N.Y. , Mario A. (Maria) Chavez of Miami Lake’s, FL and Lazarus E. (Donna) Chavez of Rye, N.Y. also survived by his eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Sunday, 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Our Lady of Mercy Church, Port Chester, N.Y. on Monday, 10 AM. Interment, St.Mary’s Cemetery, Rye Brook, N.Y.
