Marie (Dato) Tedeschi

Marie Louise Dato Tedeschi of  West Harrison, N.Y. Silver Lake passed away on April 5, 2020 at White Plains Hospital at the age of 82. Marie was born and raised in Mount Vernon and was salutatorian of Edison High School in 1954. A beloved mother and grandmother, Marie is survived by her son, Thomas and his wife, Robin, her daughter, Susan, her five cherished grandchildren, and six of her great-grandchildren. She is reunited in God’s arms with her dearly departed husband, Thomas, her parents and in-laws, Assunta and Felix, and Louisa and Francesco, her first great-granddaughter and namesake, Alana Marie, and several adoring dogs. Marie will be remembered for her perpetually sunny outlook and immense gratitude even through life’s hardships. She radiated joy, relished the small things, was quick with a laugh, and embraced everyone in her life with warmth and love, particularly her grandchildren, to whom she was the world. An active member of St. Anthony’s Parish in West Harrison and the Ava Maria Guild, Marie was a devout Catholic and unwavering in her faith in God’s goodness. Words fail to capture the depth of her family’s heartache and how profoundly she will be missed. Private Family Burial will take place at Mt.Calvary Cemetery, Greenburgh, N.Y. As a victim of the COVID-19 pandemic, a Mass and memorial service in Marie’s name will be held at a later date to be announced after the resolution of the coronavirus crisis. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to St. Anthony of Padua Church or Star Legacy Foundation, both causes that were near to Marie’s heart.
