Maria Gherardi

Maria Gherardi 82, of West Harrison, NY died on Feb. 9, 2015. Maria was born on Sept. 6, 1932 to the late Pietro and Margherita (nee Gritti) Grigis in Somendenna, Italy. She was a retired seamstress with Brooks Brothers in Eastchester, NY. She was predeceased by her devoted husband John Gherardi in 2007 and one sister Angelina Grigis. Maria is survived by her loving daughters, Roberta (Joseph) Alfredo of West Harrison, NY and Nadia (Frank) Drake of Thornwood, NY. one brother Giovanni Grigis and three sisters Piera, Savina and Elena Grigis all of Italy. Also survived by four cherished grandchildren, Christina (David) Tomaselli, Daniel Drake, Alyssa Alfredo and Joseph John Alfredo. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Thursday 4-8PM. Funeral Services crypt side, at Ferncliff Mausoleum, Hartsdale, NY on Friday 11AM.
