Maria De Los Angeles Feliciano was born on August 14, 1943 to the late Plutarco Feliciano and Judith Vega. She was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. She was the eldest of four children.
Maria moved to New York, where she completed her education. Maria was a full time homemaker who enjoyed cooking, cleaning, laughing, raising her children and spending quality time with her grandchildren. But her passion was reading the Word of God, going to church, listening to Christian Music, doing personal work and testifying to others, including those incarcerated.
On October 29, 2011 Maria accomplished her goal of becoming a Chaplain. She was commissioned as a member of the United Chaplains Faith and Hope Inc. Receiving the chaplain badge was a milestone that brought her much joy. She loved to do God's will.
Maria was a devoted mother who taught her children first, to put God above all things and secondly, about the importance of family. She was very independent, punctual, honest, strong willed, yet a loving person who enjoyed smothering her family with hugs and kisses.
